FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: I can't find my field. Is there a map somewhere?
A: Yes, a map of the fields is available in the tournament program, at the "Surf Cup General Store" by the Main Entrance, and at the Official Scoreboard (look for all the flags in the center of concession stand row).
Q: Why aren't there more hotels to choose from closer to the fields?
A: Due to the location of the fields there are very few hotels that are nearby. Surf Cup has done everything it can to secure the best rates at the best hotels that San Diego has to offer. Be sure to check out our hotels from our Official Hotel List, available from the Travel Page.
Q: Do we have to send someone to Registration Night?
A: Absolutely. No Team will be allowed to participate in the tournament if they do not register AT the Registration Night Check-In. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Q: I can't find the "Official Scoreboard"? Where is it?
A: The Official Scoreboard is located near the center of Concession Stand Row. You can easily find it by looking for the Surf Cup Flags that fly above it.
Q: How does Surf Cup handle rainy-day weather?
A: Surf Cup does everything it can to continue playing games. If the weather goes bad during the tournament Surf Cup will post instructions here, on SurfCup.com, and in the local papers informing participants about how we will handle the situation. This may include Surf Cup utilizing busses to bring in players and spectators from remote parking sites such as the Del Mar Fairgrounds, and possibly shortening game times. All such information would be made available here as soon as it becomes available. Surf Cup oftens continues play when other tournaments cancel play.
